The Juvenile Justice System: Dealing with Young People under the Young Offenders Act 1994 (18 June 2008)
This examination focused on whether the Western Australia Police, Department of Corrective Services and Department of the Attorney General are applying the general principles of juvenile justice, set out in the Young Offenders Act 1994. We also conducted a cost benefit analysis of the redirection measures set out in the Young Offenders Act. The cost benefit analysis is included as Volume 2 (pdf) of the report.

Auditor General Act
2006 (1 February 2007)
The Auditor General Bill passed through the WA State Parliament
in late 2006 and was proclaimed on 1 February 2007. The Auditor
General Act 2006 defines the role and work of the
Auditor General and of the Office of the Auditor General and replaces
the powers that were given under the Financial Administration
and Audit Act 1985 (FAAA). To download a copy of the Act, please
