Auditor General Act 2006
The Auditor General Bill passed through the WA State Parliament in late
2006 and was proclaimed on 1 February 2007. The Auditor General Act
defines the role and work of the Auditor General and of the Office of
the Auditor General and replaces the powers that were given under the
Financial Administration and Audit Act 1985 (FAAA).
Due to this change in Legislation, we are currently in the process of
updating all references to the FAAA on the OAG website. This process should
be complete by the end of February 2007. Please note: Reports from the
Auditor General that have been tabled in the WA State Parliament will
not be changed as they are historical documents.
For more information on these changes you can contact Barry Rowe on 9222
