WOMEN SEEKING A CAREER AS AN AUDITOR OR PERFORMANCE ANALYST
The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) is committed to diversity in
the workplace, with the ratio of female to male staff approximately 50/50
at any given time.
For women seeking the above opportunities the OAG also offers workplace
flexibility in the form of part-time work and the ability to work from
home, thus enabling individuals to successfully manage work and family
responsibilities. Leave without pay is also available to assist in overseas
or inter-state working opportunities.
Such progressive policies facilitate both secondment and career possibilities
for women wishing to expand their knowledge base or gain increased access
to professional development and management opportunities. A clear indicator
of the success of such policies is the corporate progress of two female
members of staff who came to the OAG through its graduate recruitment
program. They are now Level 8 Associate Directors.
For women looking to successfully balance a career in the public sector
with their family responsibilities, the OAG through its flexible working
arrangements offers outstanding opportunities and challenges. If being
part of such a progressive workplace appeals to you, contact Niki Sarapis
for more information.
